[2018] Gerry Olino

Filipino native, was born in the Philippines and grew up in Hong Kong. He started out on his 20-year hospitality industry as a server but his passion for the craft of mixology, travel and meeting people led him to bartending. Currently, he is the Group Beverage Manager at the Ming Fat House, a group that owns themed-restaurants and speakeasy bars, including Mrs Pound, Foxglove, Dr. Fern’s Gin Parlour, and Frank’s Library.

Gerry was Head Bartender at Dr Fern’s in 2017 which was voted #48 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars within four month’s of its opening. Prior to joing Dr. Fern’s, he worked at the award-winning Lobster Bar in the Island Shangri La Hotel. He is a keen competitor at bartending competitions and ranked 4th place at the prestigious Diageo World Class 2014.
